2026 Easter Greeting

The Office of the Ombudsman extends warm Easter greetings to the Governor-General, Prime Minister and Cabinet, Leader of the Opposition, Leader of the Independent Group, Speaker of the National Parliament, the Chief Justice and Judges, Permanent Secretaries, the Mayor and Councillors of Honiara City, Provincial Premiers and Assembly Members, Constitutional Post Holders, Church Leaders, Chiefs, Women and Youth Leaders, and all the people of Solomon Islands.

As we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we are reminded of the hope, renewal, and new life that Easter brings. Christ’s victory over the grave assures us that hope always triumphs over despair and that faith calls us to live with integrity and humility.

This message of Easter also reminds all leaders and public servants of the responsibility we carry to serve our people with honesty, transparency, and accountability. The Office of the Ombudsman remains committed to working with all institutions and citizens to ensure that complaints are heard and addressed in a fair and transparent manner.
