Checklist to Follow to Legally Obtain a License for Small Craft
Under the Customs Act, the Comptroller of Customs acting under the powers vested in him issues certain licenses. The licenses are issued in a Public Notice to ensure that the public is aware of the conditions associated with the licenses.
In order to obtain a license for small craft:
- An agent will make a request at the Customs Shipping Office for a small craft to accompany the foreign vessel. The Customs Shipping Officer will then issue a form.
- The agent completes the form and submits it to any Customs Shipping Office in the country.
- The agent will then await approval from Customs.
