Access Conflict Mediation Assistance

The Ministry receives requests from families, communities and Government Ministries to attend to issues where mediation is required between conflicting parties.

Due to the past ethnic crisis and issue sensitivities, an Eminent Persons Group (EPG) consisting of prominent church and community leaders was established. The EPG are immediately sent to mediate between parties and major reconciliation issues when requests are received.

Trained peace building officers are also stationed in all of the Ministry’s provincial offices.
