Japanese Government Officials Pay Courtesy Call on Minister for Police, National Security and Correctional Services
The Japanese Government officials yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Minister for Police, National Security and Correctional Services, demonstrating the continued friendly relations and cooperation between the Solomon Islands and Japan.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and to reaffirm the importance of ongoing engagement between the two governments.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in areas relevant to policing, national security, correctional services and other sectors of shared interest. The meeting also highlighted the value of continued dialogue, collaboration and partnership in supporting peace, stability and development.
The Honourable Minister John Tuhaika Jr. welcomed the Japanese delegation and expressed appreciation for Japan’s longstanding friendship and support to the Solomon Islands.
The courtesy call further strengthened the close relationship between the Solomon Islands and Japan and reflected the commitment of both countries to maintaining constructive cooperation for the mutual benefit of their peoples.
