Public Notice:
Construction of Bus Bays – Bishop Dale and Lelei, Tandai Highway
This is to inform the public that construction works for two (2) bus bays along the seaside section of the Tandai Highway, at the Bishop’s Dale and Lelei areas, are tentatively scheduled to commence on 27 March 2026. Each bus bay is expected to be completed within ten (10) days, subject to weather conditions.
The scope of works will include the replacement of the existing footpath, installation of kerb stones, and concreting of the surface course.
In connection with the above, the public is advised as follows:
- The outer lane along these sections of the road will be closed to general traffic. Eastbound vehicles will be required to use the inner lane.
- For public safety, work areas will be properly barricaded. Traffic signage and other safety devices will be installed prior to the commencement of works.
- Pedestrian walkways and designated crossing points will be provided at selected locations. Safety Officers and Traffic Controllers will be deployed to assist both pedestrians and motorists, ensuring safety and maintaining smooth traffic flow.
A Traffic Management Plan is attached for reference. Additional signage may be installed as necessary based on actual site conditions. Please note that the work schedule may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
The public is kindly requested to cooperate and exercise caution when travelling through these areas.
