Public Advisory: Road Improvement Works at White River O1 Junction

This is to inform the general public that the construction works for the Junction Road at O1 Market area along Tandai Highway will commence on Thursday (tomorrow), March 12, 2026. This works are expected to be completed within one (1) week, subject to weather conditions.

The construction activities will take place on the westside section and subsequently on the eastside area. The works will include roadbed preparation up to sealing works which will also include the installation of curbstone and pedestrian walkway.

The traveling public is advised of the following:

1. Traffic Advisory

• The westside lane of the road junction will be temporarily closed to traffic then subsequently the eastside lane once the westside section is already completed.
• Passing vehicles going to and from Tasahe will pass thru the available lane.
• A “Stop and Go” scheme will be implemented; hence, motorists are advised to obey the traffic controllers to ensure road safety and maintain smooth flow of traffic in the area.

2. Safety Measures

For public safety, the work area will be properly barricaded. Traffic signs and other safety devices will be installed prior to the commencement of works to guide motorists and pedestrians.

3. Pedestrian Access

Designated pedestrian walkways and crossings will be provided. Safety Officers and Traffic Controllers will be deployed on site to assist both pedestrians and the motorists.

4. Traffic Management Plan

The attached Traffic Management Plan is provided for reference. Additional signage may be installed as necessary, depending on actual site conditions. The work schedule may be adjusted subject to weather conditions.
