The United Nation Resident Coordinator for the United Arab Emirates, Dr.Dena Assaf was so impressed after viewing our Sustainable Development Goals exhibits at the Expo 2020.
“I must say just how very impressed I am with what the Solomon Islands Pavilion has displayed pertaining to the United Nations SDG’s which I believe have also blended in well with your Government’s National Development Strategy from 2016 to 2030”.
“As part of the Pacific Regions Small Island Developing States (SIDS) States, your well promoted SDG’s will inspire the many visitors during the Expo 2020 and is further indicative of your country’s commitment to setting the targets and benchmarks for achieving the Sustainable Goals (SDG’S) at a national level”, Dr Assaf said.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
