Three candidates have been nominated by lawmakers at the close of nominations at 12:00 pm on Sunday, 10th May 2026.
The candidates are Hon. Peter Shanel Agovaka (MP for Central Guadalcanal Constituency), Hon. Manasseh Maelanga (MP for East Malaita Constituency) and Hon. Mathew Cooper Wale (MP for Aoke-Langa Langa Constituency).
Four Members of Parliament have nominated each candidate.
The Election of the new Prime Minister is scheduled for 9:00 am on Friday, 15 May 2026.
