The MPA for Wagina ward praised RSIPF and CPLT for conducting crime prevention training in their community.
The Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Wagina Ward in Choiseul Province, Honourable Tongoua Tabe, appreciated the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) and China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) for conducting crime prevention training at Tekaranga village recently.
The appreciation came from the MPA for Wagina Ward to the office of the Commissioner of RSIPF for the two days of training, which really helped them in crime prevention.
Inside the letter, MPA for Wagina Ward, Hon. Tongoua Tabe, said, “It is with all hearts of my Wagina Ward children, women, youths, and elders that I write this letter to convey our utmost sincere thanks for your recent trip to our communities in Wagina to offer the crime prevention training that is timely, much needed, and truly value for money.”
MPA Tabe said the two-day training that was held at Teangiraoi Maneaba, Tekaranga village, was received with full appreciation by my people. Working together with our remote communities had been a long-needed support that was absent for many years.
Honorable Tabe said, “The training was an opportunity to revive working together with communities for crime prevention that is becoming apparent through the increase of family violence, the rise of drugs and alcohol, youth antisocial behaviors, degrading environments, and other upcoming issues like the use of copane.”
“Coming to us gave significant recognition to the partnership of RSIPF with communities, business houses, churches, women, and youths,” said MPA Tabe.
He said, “Indeed, I believe that you will keep our Wagina community in your monitoring and supporting activities so that we can champion this partnership for the government to appreciate and endorse as truly a way forward in our socio-economic aspirations factored into our national and provincial development plans.”

Touches, uniforms for CPC, sports gear, and sewing machines were among the gifts presented during the two-day training. CPC members also received certificates after completion of the two-day training.
Wagina community leader Mr. John Tavie, on behalf of the participant, acknowledges the RSIPF and CPLT for coming down to the village level and conducting the training.
Mr. Tavie said this is the first time that partners like CPLT have come with RSIPF and carried out this kind of training in our village. It is a very important opportunity for our community to learn new knowledge and strengthen cooperation between the community and police. We truly value your presence and the partnership you bring to our village.
