As we mark the 48th Anniversary of our Independence, I warmly extend our heartfelt greetings to all the people of the Solomon Islands as we commemorate this significant milestone under the theme “Our Nation, Our Responsibility and Accountability – Building a GREAT Solomon Islands.”
We pay tribute to our founding leaders, whose foresight and sacrifice laid the foundation for the rich legacy and opportunities we cherish today. With profound gratitude to Almighty God, we look ahead with optimism and resolve to safeguard our environment and uphold our enduring reputation as a peaceful nation. Let us reaffirm our steadfast dedication to “Government for Reform, Empowerment, Accountability, and Transformation,” as we continue building a stronger and more unified Solomon Islands.
As we commemorate 48 remarkable years of nationhood, may the boundless love, enduring peace, and uplifting joy of our Lord fill our hearts and homes. Let this anniversary be a time for gratitude and reflection, as we gather with our families, friends, and communities across the beautiful and vibrant isles of the Solomon Islands. May our shared celebration strengthen the bonds of unity and fellowship among us, reminding us of the values and faith that continue to guide our journey as a sovereign nation.
