A total of 10 graduate trainees attached to the Ministry of Public Service have completed, KYPS and COC trainings on Friday the 19th November, 2021. This one-week training is part of an induction program arranged for them by the Workforce Management Division in the Ministry of Public Service. The 10 graduate trainees were recruited in October 26th 2021 to start their two years Graduate Trainee program. The induction program was co- facilitated by the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) and the Workforce Planning Division in the Ministry of Public Service.
The training generally covers, Knowing Your Public Service and Code of Conduct. This training follows a one-day induction session conducted on the 9th November, 2021. IPAM Director Solomon Manea, highlighted that all public officers are expected to attend these induction trainings. At the closing, the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Strategy, Joseph Sua reiterated that “being equipped with these knowledge and skills will help them become knowledgeable, competent and ethical public officers”.
Speaking on behalf of the Graduate Trainees, Johan Houhiapa, said that they are fortunate to attend these trainings. They thank the facilitators and are looking forward to be integrated into the workforce with the knowledge and tools acquired and also support from the Ministry of Public Service.
The training concluded with presentation of certificates.
