SOLOMON WATER DELIVERS 3 WATER TANKS TO ZIATA COMMUNITY.
Honiara, Solomon Islands (29 September 2026) – Solomon Water has delivered three water tanks, comprising two 5,000-liter and one 10,000-liter tank, to the Ziata landowning community in recognition of the community’s ongoing support on Tuesday, September 29th, at Noro, Western Province.
The handover of the water tanks reflects Solomon Water’s ongoing commitment to working closely with the Ziata landowning group in the implementation phase of the Noro-Ziata Water Supply Project.
The three tanks will go along with Ziata landowning community initiatives towards providing additional water storage for Goldie Secondary School.
The Noro–Ziata Water Supply Project is a subproject component of the Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project (UWSSSP) to improve access to and the quality of water in the Noro area.
Solomon Water acknowledges the Ziata Community Advisory Committee (CAC), landowning group representatives, and the wider community for their continued cooperation and support throughout the project.
Solomon Water’s contractor, REEVES, has also been working closely with the Ziata CAC and landowning representatives to listen to concerns, address grievances, and find solutions together so that project activities can continue smoothly.
Solomon Water remains committed to working closely with the community, the provincial government, and key stakeholders as we move towards completion of the Noro–Ziata Water Supply Project.
