SOLOMON ISLANDS AND JAPAN DISCUSS PATHWAY TO OSAKA EXPO 2025
Japans Executive Liaison Director of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Expo, Toriyama Hiroshi had made a courtesy visit on Solomon Islands Expo 2020 Commissioner-General H.E.Moses Kouni Mose where the two leaders began initial discussions on the pathway to the Osaka World Expo 2025.
During the courtesy meeting on Saturday 19th February, CG Mose in welcoming the visit by Mr Hiroshi said “The Solomon Islands certainly looks forward to making our presence in Osaka in 2025 however, Cabinet will make the final decision pending more information from the Japan Expo Authority”.
The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition spearheads the design, preparation and operation for EXPO2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. During the meeting, H.E. Mose was briefed on the outline and current situation of Expo 2025.
Also present was Solomon Islands Deputy Commissioner General and Pavilion Director Mr Dennis Marita.
The current Dubai Expo 2020 ends in March 2022.
