Christmas is a special time that reminds us of the birth of Christ. A time that reminds us of the gift of time, the time we spent with loved ones, the time of forgiveness shared, and the time of a future built together with care and courage.
It is a time when, love and hope are seen, scented, lighted, and celebrated in style together, with the Christmas tree of togetherness, the light of unity, the corals of hope, and the candle of resilience gracing our hearts, homes, communities, and nation as we reflect on what and where the year 2024 has brought and will take us in 2025.
May the Christmas light guide us to the newborn King as was the guiding star of Bethlehem and the candle of resilience flicker this season by defying the darkness of our hearts to receive and share this Christmas gift as a nation.
As the branches of the Christmas tree contribute to the splendor of the glamour of beauty in our hearts and our minds, so too does every soul and citizen of our nation to the unity, peace, and strength of our nation gracing our future with compassion, hope, and shared purposes.
With one voice, let us fill the air with carols of hope and determination, raising the voice of hope that creates a wave of progress that resonates through the coming year
The year 2024 has been a great year for the Solomon Islands Electoral Commission in fulfilling its mandate to this nation. As a learning organization, we will continue to strive for improvement in delivering a widely accepted free and fair election in elections to come.
May the holiday season bring you moments of joy, peace, and reflection, and may the coming year be filled with hope, prosperity, and opportunities for growth.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy Prosperous New Year 2025.
