Seven Ministers sworn into the Wale-led Coalition government
Honiara, Solomon Islands – Seven Ministers were sworn in at Government House this afternoon, formalising their appointments to the Wale-led Government.
The Ministers took their oaths of Allegiance and Office before Governor-General His Excellency, Sir David Tiva Kapu.
Prime Minister Matthew Cooper Wale appointed Hon. Francis Sade, MP for Northwest Guadalcanal, as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Public Service; Hon. Ricky Fuo’o, MP for Central Kwara’ae, as Minister for Infrastructure Development; Hon. Harry Kuma, MP for Northwest Choiseul, as Minister for Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration; Hon. Frederick Kologeto, MP for South Vela la Vela, as Minister for Communication and Aviation; Hon. Clezy Rore, MP for North Vela la Vela, as Minister for Justice and Legal Affairs; Hon. Franklyn Derek Wasi, MP for East Makira, as Minister for Agriculture and Livestock; and Hon. James Bonuga, MP for Temotu Pele, as Minister for Culture and Tourism.
Wale expressed confidence in his ministerial appointments, saying they are prepared to serve to the best of their ability.
He said appointments for the remaining portfolios will be made soon.
