RSIPF and CPLT witness the official launching of the Lau Valley CPC By-law

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), in partnership with the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT), successfully witnessed a launching of Lau Valley By-Law last week.

“During the signing of the by-law, the team conducted a community capacity-building program and supported the establishment and strengthening of Crime Prevention Committees (CPCs) in the Lau Valley community.”

CPC members were encouraged to remain committed to their responsibilities, despite serving on a voluntary basis, as their efforts play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of their community.

Following the program, RSIPF and CPLT donated uniforms and torches, to the Lau Valley CPC members.

The chairman of Lau Valley community Mr. George Molea expressed their sincere appreciation to RSIPF and CPLT for their generous support.

“We are truly grateful for the opportunity. The gifts you have provided will greatly help our community CPC in carrying out their duties.” the chairman said.

He added that the equipment will significantly assist members in performing their work at night, while the uniforms will help clearly identify them as community police committed to serving and protecting their community.

The RSIPF and CPLT remain committed to working closely with communities across the Solomon Islands to strengthen local policing and promote safer environment for all.
