Road Construction Works in Front of Rove Bulk Shop
The public is hereby informed that construction of the unpaved section in front of Rove Bulk Shop is scheduled to commence on Saturday, 25 April 2026, and is expected to be completed within five (5) days, subject to weather conditions.
The scope of works includes road excavation, median and curbstone installation, as well as pavement and sealing works.
In connection with these works, the public is advised of the following traffic arrangements:
- The landside lane from Rove Bulk Shop to Rifle Range will be closed to general traffic. Residents and customers of businesses along this section will access the area via the Rifle Range roundabout for both entry and exit.
- Westbound vehicles travelling toward White River will use the left lane of the seaside carriageway starting from the Rove roundabout and will merge back to the landside lane after the Rifle Range roundabout.
- Two-way traffic will be maintained along both carriageways (landside and seaside) between the Rove and Rifle Range roundabouts.
- Road users are advised to exercise due caution at all times when travelling through the work zone.
- For public safety, the work area will be properly barricaded. Traffic signs and other safety devices will be installed prior to the commencement of works.
Pedestrian walkways and designated crossing points will be provided at selected locations. Safety Officers/Traffic Controllers will be deployed to assist both pedestrians and motorists, ensuring safety and maintaining smooth traffic flow.
A Traffic Management Plan is attached for reference. Additional signage may be installed as necessary based on actual site conditions. The work schedule may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
