Road Construction Works – HP Roundabout
The public is advised that construction works at the remaining unpaved seaside approaches of HP Roundabout are scheduled to commence on 3 June 2026.
The works will include pavement construction and asphalt sealing and are expected to be completed within five (5) days, subject to weather conditions.
In this connection, the public is advised as follows:
- Traffic Diversion
The seaside lane from Town Ground Roundabout up to DBSI will be closed to traffic. Eastbound vehicles will be diverted to the inner/left lane along the landside section starting from Town Ground Roundabout and will return to the seaside lane through the median opening in front of the RSIPF Fire Department. - Safety Measures
The work area will be properly barricaded, with traffic signs and safety devices installed prior to the commencement of works. - Pedestrian Access
Pedestrian walkways and designated crossing points will be provided at selected locations. Safety Officers and Traffic Controllers will be stationed on site to assist pedestrians and motorists and to ensure safe and smooth traffic flow. - Traffic Congestion
Due to lane narrowing, traffic congestion is expected. Members of the public are advised to plan their travel accordingly when entering the CBD area. - Compliance with Traffic Directions
Pedestrians and motorists are advised to follow all directions issued by Traffic Controllers and Safety Officers while works are in progress. - Designated Crossing Points
All pedestrians are required to cross only at designated crossing points to ensure public safety and minimize traffic congestion. - Traffic Management Plans
Traffic Management Plans are attached for reference. Additional signage may be installed where necessary, and the work schedule may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
Prefer to the attached Traffic Management Plan for details.
