Riffle Range Roundabout Upgrade Reaches Major Milestone
The landside section of the Riffle Range Roundabout was successfully asphalted today, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing upgrade works.
The asphalt surfacing forms a key part of the roundabout construction and will help improve driving conditions, traffic flow, and road safety for all road users once the project is completed.
Construction crews continue to make steady progress on site, with remaining works focusing on final road infrastructure elements, drainage, road markings, signage, and other finishing activities.
Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to exercise caution when travelling through the work area and to follow all traffic management measures in place.
The Ministry of Infrastructure Development acknowledges the patience and cooperation of the public while these important improvements are being delivered.
The Riffle Range Roundabout is being delivered under the Land and Maritime Connectivity Project (LMCP), implemented by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) and supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Solomon Islands. The project is part of broader efforts to improve transport infrastructure, strengthen connectivity, and support economic growth across the country.
