Public Notice: Temporary Closure – 01 Market Junction
The public is hereby informed that the previous advisory issued on 6 April 2026 regarding works at the 01 Market Junction has been revised. This amendment follows initial implementation findings of the Traffic Management Plan, which confirmed that vehicles cannot safely pass along the roadside adjacent to the worksite due to construction limits.
In light of the above, the following measures will apply:
- Traffic Advisory
The road junction will be fully closed to all vehicular traffic during the construction period.
Vehicles travelling to and from 01 Market and the Tasahe B area are advised to use 02 Road as the designated temporary diversion route.
For safety reasons, heavily loaded trucks are strictly prohibited from using the Bailey bridge. - Safety Measures
The work area at the 01 Junction will be securely barricaded to ensure public safety.
Appropriate traffic signs and safety devices will be installed prior to the commencement of works to guide both motorists and pedestrians. - Pedestrian Access
Designated pedestrian walkways and crossing points will be provided.
Safety Officers and Traffic Controllers will be deployed on-site to assist pedestrians and motorists, ensuring safety and maintaining an orderly flow of movement. - Traffic Management Plan
The Traffic Management Plan is attached for reference. Additional signage may be installed as required, depending on actual site conditions.
Please note that the work schedule may be adjusted subject to weather conditions.
