Quarantine Evaders Could Face Imprisonment
The Government last night has warned incoming travellers who breach or evade strict quarantine measures that they will face consequences that could lead to imprisonment.
This warning was issued following the latest Travel Advisory as Government Authorities intensify measures to prevent the entry of COVID-19 into the country.
Solomon Islands has so far recorded no positive cases of the virus which was declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) early this month.
The Government will continue to monitor the situation as a ban is now enforced for all non-Solomon Islands citizens from entering the country.
