PUBLIC SERVANTS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Strong and Healthy Public Servants are urgently required to lend voluntary support towards the ongoing food distribution process to communities in Honiara during the current covid restrictions.
The Government Oversight Committee made the call through the Ministry of Public Service today (Saturday 29 January) seeking urgent response to this request.
Food distribution is led by the Livelihood Sector Committee which was activated early this week.
The task of the Committee is to receive food donations, organize and distribute to around 22,000 households within the Honiara Emergency Zone.
The Committee urgently needs between 25-30 volunteers from the Public Service. Interested candidates can contact the Livelihood Committee at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Office at Town Ground next to the Saint John Community High School.
Food distribution by the Livelihood Sector to communities in Honiara will still continue in the coming days.
