
PUBLIC NOTICE
ATTENTION TO ALL IMPORTERS OF REFRIGERANT GASES FOR YEAR 2027
Subjected to the Customs and Excise (Prohibited Imports) (Amendment) Order 2007 of the Customs and Exercise Act (CAP.121). Section 34(2) of the Customs and Excise (Restricted Imports) (Amendment) Order 2007 on imports and exports of refrigerants gases, you have been notified on the following;
To be eligible to import in 2027, the following steps are to be fulfilled:
1. Quota Application
For interested importers, it is mandatory that you have eligible Quota before you can import refrigerants. Importers who import without quota allocation will be subjected to penalties accordingly.
How to apply:
- Cover letter of Expression of Interest
- Imports data records for year 2025 and 2026
Quota will only be issued to qualified importers that meet the requirements set by the National Ozone Unit.
Registration Fee – $5000 -00 sbd annually
Only importers with valid Quota allocation for 2027 will be registered as importers
ALLOCATION OF QUOTA AND REGISTRATION OF IMPORTERS:
National Ozone Office will assess and notify the successful applicant in writing in end of November 2026.
