MV Florence Scheduled Trip to Makira/Ulawa Province
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL) wishes to inform the general public, particularly farmers in Makira/Ulawa Province, that the MV Florence will depart Honiara on Wednesday, 14th May 2025.
The vessel will travel via the following route:
Ulawa – Ugi – Kira Kira – Star Harbour, covering the main agricultural produce collection points around Makira.
All farmers and produce buyers are kindly advised to prepare their agricultural products in advance, particularly:
- Cocoa
- Coconuts
- Other market-ready commodities
This trip provides an important opportunity for farmers to transport their goods to markets and buyers in Honiara, contributing to improved market access and income generation.
Please ensure:
- You arrive at the designated loading points before the vessel arrives.
- You coordinate with your local agriculture extension officers for assistance and guidance.
