
PUBLIC ADVISORY
This is to inform the Public that the road works at the landside section from Outback to Rove Junction shall tentatively start on Thursday, January 15, 2026 and expected to be completed within a month.
The works shall include;
- Road excavation
- Curbstone works
- Pavement and sealing works.
The construction of the landside section of the Rove Roundabout shall also be included in the scheduled works as well as the short section of Tasahe Road approaching the junction.
In connection with the above, the following are hereby advised to the Public:
- The landside road section from Johns School Junction to Rove Junction shall be closed for traffic. All westbound vehicles going to White River shall traverse using the left lane at the seaside section from St. John School and proceed to the landside lane after the temporary roundabout at Bulk Shop. Vehicles going to and from Tasahe Road shall use the temporary detour road in front of Bulk Shop.
- For the safety of the public, the work area shall be barricaded with steel fence which shall be installed prior to the start of the actual works. Temporary access shall be provided for the Rove Police Station/Correctional Facilities. Residents at the area shall have access through the opening in front of the Rove Police Station.
- Attached is the Traffic Management Plan as reference. Additional signages shall be installed as necessary based on actual site situation. Work schedule may change depending on the weather conditions.
Pedestrians shall be provided with walkways and pedestrian crossings in some designated locations. Safety Officers/Traffic Controllers shall be assigned to assist pedestrians and the motorists to maintain road safety and smooth flow of traffic.
