DISCLOSURE OF FINANCIAL AFFAIRS FOR YEAR 2022
Pursuant to section 8 of the Leadership Code (Further Provisions) Act 1999, you are all advised to disclose your financial affairs by submitting prescribed forms as follows:
If you and your spouse are both public officers and both are L7 and/or above, both of you must file separate statement (Form LC: 1 and Form LC: 1A) for yourself. This is because the disclosures are for individual Leaders.
Take note that business or company stated by you in the separate statement (Form LC: 1 and Form LC: 1A) does not mean that you declared your business interest with the Leadership Code Commission (LCC). Take note that disclosure of your financial affairs is one requirement under the Code. There is a separate process and prescribed form for declaration of business interest.
In the event that you own or hold directorship in a private business or company, then you are advised to seek consent from the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Service (Employer) and then complete Form LC: 2 for Leadership Code Commission’s approval. This is where the declaration of business interest comes in.
If your business or company seeks, accepts or holds a contract with the Solomon Islands Government or its Agency, then you have to complete Form LC: 3 for the Commission’s permission to engage in a contract with the Government.
For public officers who cannot access this notice, HRMs’ are kindly asked to inform those public officers and print the prescribed forms for your officers to fill and submit to the LCC.
The due date for submitting your separate statement for the disclosure of your financial affairs for year 2022 will be made known soon.
For assistance kindly email jfagasi@lcc.gov.sb or leadership@lcc.gov.sb or call 24860/27561 and ask for any of our officers to render assistance in this regard.
