NEOC OFFICE NO-GO-ZONE
The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) is currently operating under very strict Covid-19 protocols and will not allow individuals or businesses to physically come to the office to make enquiries and collect information. All correspondences must be done through telephone call or via emails. This is to protect its staff from getting infected by the virus.
A statement from the NEOC says they are taking this measure given the huge task of coordinating various Covid-19 related operation they are task with. “We need all of our officers to be at post every day. The operation is huge, we cannot risk our officers and have them quarantined or send to isolation centers, we need all hands on deck” the statement said.
NEOC decided to take this action because there has been an increase in the number of people coming in to enquire or collect information on the various Covid-19 protocols put in place by the government. Whilst NEOC appreciates that individuals and business are eager to follow proper Covid-19 protocols, the safety of its staff is also very important.
During this difficult times NEOC requests for the cooperation and understanding of everyone both individuals and businesses to comply with this measure to allow their officers to do their work freely without having to worry about contracting the virus.
NEOC therefore encourages everyone if they want to arrange for dead body repatriation, obtain exemption for cargoes and other Covid-19 related activities must do all correspondences through the following telephone numbers or email;
