
MPNSCS 48th Independence Greetings 2026
The Honourable Minister, John Tuhaika Jr., together with the Management and Staff of the Ministry of Police, National Security & Correctional Services, extends its highest regards and warmest Independence greetings to;
His Excellency the Governor-General Reverend Sir David Tiva Kapu and Lady Kapu, the Honourable Prime Minister Matthew Wale and Madam Wale, Honourable Cabinet Ministers, the Leader of the Opposition, the Leader of the Independent Group, Honourable Members of Parliament, Constitutional Post Holders, Provincial Leaders, the Mayor of Honiara City, esteemed Chiefs, Church Leaders, Public Servants, Women, Youth, Children, and to all citizens of our beloved Solomon Islands.
As we commemorate the 48th Anniversary of our Independence, we are united under this year’s theme: “Our Nation, Our Responsibility and Accountability – Building a GREAT Solomon Islands.”
This theme is a powerful reminder that the strength and future of our nation rest not only on the freedom we cherish, but on the responsibility, integrity, and accountability we each uphold.
As we celebrate this important milestone, we honour the vision, courage, and sacrifice of our founding leaders and all those who contributed to securing our sovereignty. Their legacy stands as a beacon, inspiring present and future generations to continue building a nation anchored in peace, justice, resilience, and mutual respect.
The Ministry of Police, National Security & Correctional Services reaffirms its unwavering commitment to strengthening national security, upholding law and order, and fostering safe and resilient communities across our islands. We remain steadfast in our duty to serve the people of Solomon Islands with professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
