Solomon Islands reached its 48th year of independence on 7th July 2026. A country that is home to all of us and our co-existence symbolizes our unity despite our diversity. Through political, economical, social, cultural, and technological progress and challenges we journey on into the future. Let us remind ourselves to stay united with renewed commitment and collective efforts to ensure that each Independence Day draws us closer in unity, peace, and a secured progress.
As we celebrate, let us pay tribute to those who had gone before us and had made ultimate sacrifices to contribute to the development of our nation with the vision of a united Solomon Island through leadership, partnership, and service. Our nation had overcome many challenges and failures and will continue to face more but despite the many challenges lets continue to strive and be resilient; build our nation through what we can do to contribute as citizens; bestow peace and security through cooperation and respect towards each other; and continue to build greater partnerships with our development partners. Let us not lose sight of seeking Divine Intervention to sustain nourishment, protection, unity, peace, and development of our beloved Solomon Islands
Together we can work as partners and build a safe, prosperous, and united nation. It is our responsibility as Solomon Islanders to ensure accountability of our nation and build a GREAT Solomon Islands.
