MINISTER SALOPUKA CLARIFIES POSITION ON COMPANY DIRECTORSHIPS
Honiara, Solomon Islands |22-5-26| – THE Minister for Lands, Housing and Survey, Hon. Oliver Salopuka has today clarified his position regarding his former directorships in Lever Solomons Limited (LSL) and RIPEL.
Minister Salopuka confirms that he formally ceased to be a director of both Lever Solomons Limited and RIPEL effective from 17 May 2026 prior to assuming his ministerial duties.
Responding to a media statement from the Opposition Group, he said the company records have not yet been updated to reflect these changes.
“I wish to make it clear that I am no longer a director of Lever Solomons Limited or RIPEL. My resignation took effect on 17 May 2026,” Minister Salopuka said.
He further explained that the process of updating official records with the Registrar of Companies is currently underway.
“I am aware that the company’s legal representatives have met with the Registrar earlier this week to facilitate the formal update of records. I am advised that the Registrar is awaiting submission of the relevant company resolution minutes from LSL and RIPEL to complete this process,” he added.
Minister Salopuka emphasized that any delay in the Companies Haus records being updated is purely administrative and does not reflect his current status.
