Minister Manemahaga Praises Raiders Hotel Investment as Boost to Tourism Development

Tulagi, Central Island Province (March 15) – The Minister for National Planning, Development and Aid Coordination, Hon. Trevor Manemahaga, has praised the opening of Raiders Hotel as a significant milestone for tourism development in the Solomon Islands.

Speaking at the hotel’s opening ceremony, Minister Manemahaga said, “This event represents confidence in our country, confidence in our tourism potential, and confidence in the future of economic development for our people.”

The Minister commended the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for their efforts in advancing tourism development and partnering with private sector investors like Raiders Hotel.

“Tourism has the potential to create job opportunities for our people, support local businesses, and stimulate economic activities across our provinces,” Minister Manemahaga said.

He also congratulated the investors and proprietors of Raiders Hotel for their vision and commitment to the tourism sector, saying, “Your decision to invest your time, resources and confidence in our tourism sector is truly commendable.”

The Minister encouraged stakeholders to continue supporting tourism development, saying, “Tourism provides long-term and sustainable benefits for our people, and through collective effort, we can unlock its full potential.”

Minister for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Choylin Douglas, also spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of partnerships in tourism development.
