Acting Prime Minister Hon. Francis Sade MP
Message from the Acting Prime Minister, Hon. Francis Sade, on the Occasion of Temotu Province’s 43rd Second Appointed Day
On behalf of the GREAT Coalition and the people of Solomon Islands, I extend warm greetings and congratulations to the Premier, the Executive, Provincial Assembly, Chiefs, Church Leaders, and all people of Temotu Province as you celebrate your 43rd Second Appointed Day.
Temotu is one of our most remote provinces, and I acknowledge the many hardships you face in accessing government services due to your distant location in the Eastern Solomons.
Yet despite distance and geography, Temotu has always given its best to nation-building. Since independence, your natural resources and your people have contributed greatly to the progress of our country.
Your unique and diverse cultures, arts, languages and ethnic groups remain authentic and strong. They are among Temotu’s foundation and greatest strengths and a source of pride for all Solomon Islanders. Temotu truly stands as one of the cultural treasures of our nation.
On this day of celebration, I thank the people of Temotu for your resilience, your contributions, and your commitment to Solomon Islands. The GREAT Coalition pledges its commitment to better connect Temotu to national services, now and into the future, so that you equally enjoy your rightful place in our country.
Happy 43rd Second Appointed Day, Temotu Province.
