As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ this festive season, let us also take time to reflect on our failure and successes throughout the year. We offer thanks to God for His grace, love, and faithfulness throughout 2024.
This year has presented its challenges, but we remain steadfast and committed to a new season of agricultural productivity and partnership in 2025.
To our farmers, stakeholders, and the private sector, we are deeply grateful for your continued commitment to the agriculture sector, especially in the face of so many obstacles. In these challenging times, we recognize that 2025 will bring its own difficulties, but we are confident that the lessons we’ve learned will enable us to build a more robust response and elevate the contribution of agriculture to food security, safety, nutrition and economic growth for Solomon Islands.
We thank our development partners for their unwavering support to our government and the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock. MAL is transforming into a more dynamic and “ready to partner” entity to meet the evolving needs of the agriculture sector.
We wish you all a joyful festive season filled with family gatherings and renewed spirits. May we all approach the new year with a heart for the evolving agricultural landscape.
We look forward to a stronger collaboration with our poultry, piggery, cattle and honeybee farmers, root crop and vegetable farmers, spices and fruits tree farmers in year 2025.
A blessed merry Christmas and a joyous New year 2025 celebrations.
