As we come to the close of the year, we pause from our busy schedules to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ who came into this world on Christmas Day and offered His life so that we may have eternal hope. May your hearts be filled with good tidings, love, and peace as you gather with family and friends across our beloved nation to remember this divine gift, the only Son of God.

As we reflect on our successes and shortcomings throughout the year, we acknowledge the Almighty for His grace, love, and faithfulness over 2025.

This year has brought its share of challenges, yet we remain steadfast and committed as we prepare for a new season of strengthened agricultural productivity and partnerships in 2026.

To our farmers, stakeholders, and the private sector, we extend our deepest gratitude for your resilience and dedication to the agriculture sector, despite the many obstacles faced.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock gives special praise to all our rural farmers and stakeholders who this year increased our copra and cocoa exports more than last year. Your efforts have seen the country reached a new historic high in both volume and revenue for cocoa exports.

And MAL will continue to work closely with all its stakeholders to further boost our coconut and cocoa exports in the new year.

While 2026 will bring its own challenges, we are confident that the lessons learned will guide us toward a stronger and more effective response enhancing agriculture’s contribution to food and nutrition security, livelihoods, and economic growth.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development extend its heartfelt appreciation to our development partners for their unwavering support to the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock. MAL continues its transformation into a dynamic, responsive, and partnership-ready to meet the evolving needs of the agriculture sector.
