IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL BUSINESSES AND OTHER TAXPAYERS ON THE START DATE OF THE NEW TAX ADMINISTRATION ACT 2022 AND REGULATIONS
The Commissioner of Inland Revenue wishes to inform all Solomon Islands businesses and other taxpayers that the new Tax Administration Act 2022 commencement date has been Gazetted, the Act will begin on 1st January 2023. The Regulations also have been Gazetted.
Over the coming weeks, we will be issuing notices about some important content of the Tax Administration Act 2022, forms and other documents required under the Act. Public awareness sessions will also be held with certain sectors of the taxpayer community.
Inland Revenue Division will also publish Tax Administration Act Guides designed to make it easier for taxpayers to meet their tax obligations. This will be made available on our website as well as in the IRD Customer Service Centre soon.
Please take note that, the Tax Administration Act has been uploaded onto Inland Revenue Division Website: www.ird.gov.sb. You will also find the Regulations as well on the website. Browse through the website under the legislation heading to access the New Tax Act.
