GP donated Bed Webs to CSSI
The Guadalcanal Province Vector Borne Disease Control Program has recently donated eight (08) bales of mosquito bed webs to the Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) at the Guadalcanal Provincial Warehouse in Honiara.
This donated items purposely for distribution to inmates in an effort to control and eliminate malaria at Rove Central Correctional Centre.
CSSI Commissioner’s office wish to acknowledge and thank the Vector Borne Disease Control Program of Guadalcanal Province for their free of charge donation and coordinating the distribution of mosquito bed nets to Correctional Service Solomon Islands.
Guadalcanal Province Vector Borne Disease Control Program Supervisor Mr Francis Panate, said this bed nets are to protect inmates from getting malaria and also to help STOP the transmission of malaria from one person to another in the jail.
CSSI Commissioner Mactus Forau thank the Guadalcanal Province Vector Borne Disease Control Program for providing support to help control malaria in the Correctional Service.
On this same note, Commissioner also thank the Australian Government for providing support to help control and progressively eliminate malaria across Solomon Islands.
