
First Provincial Public Forum organized for CIPG
Central Islands Provincial Government through the office of the Assembly, is gearing up for the upcoming Provincial Public Forum, which will be held on Wednesday 1st May 2025.
The primary objective of this forum is to strengthen the oversight function of the Provincial Public Accounts Committee (PPAC), through the discussion and review of key accountability processes. This is a procedural space, where PPAC bring together Provincial Executive, Sectors, Ward Development Committee (WDC) Chairs and Civil Society Organization (CSO) representative, to jointly discuss and review key accountability documents, in an effort to improve transparency and accountability in the governance processes.
During the forum, participants will be given the opportunity to discuss and share their views on important matters.
The Provincial Public forum is a one-day event which will be led by the Central Islands Provincial Government Officials.
Central Islands Provincial Government appreciate the support of the World Bank through IEDCR project for supporting the facilitation of the public forum.
