EASTER MESSAGE BY THE PRIME MINISTER
HON. JEREMIAH MANELE, MP.

Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele MP.
Warmest Easter greetings to all fellow Solomon Islanders at home and abroad.
We are now in the holy season of Easter—a time in which we remember the suffering, death, and the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of Almighty God, the God of our nation, Solomon Islands, and its people.
The Word of God reminds us in John 11:25: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” This powerful truth is the foundation of our hope as Christians. Easter is not only a commemoration; it is a living testimony that light overcomes darkness, that life triumphs over death, and that God’s love redeems mankind.
The message of Easter reminds us of the depth of God’s love. Even in our brokenness, God reached out through Christ’s sacrifice, offering grace and redemption. God has provided the only way for reconciliation with Him, and this gift is freely given but must be personally received. May each of us make the choice to accept God’s Son as our personal Saviour and Lord, embracing the hope, forgiveness, and new life that this season represents.
As we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, we are reminded in Isaiah 53:5: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” This message of sacrifice and redemption should inspire us as a nation to seek God’s healing, reconciliation, and unity in all that we do.
To our leaders across all levels- government, churches, communities, and families, this is a time to lead with humility and wisdom. I encourage each of us to aspire to serve those under our care with humbleness. Let us spread peace, not division.
Fellow citizens, Easter is the ultimate message of hope. In Matthew 28:6, the angel declared: “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” This is the victory we celebrate- the assurance that God is faithful, and His promises endure forever.
As your Prime Minister, I remain honoured to serve you. With God’s guidance and your support, I am committed to lead our nation forward in unity, stability, and faith.
As we celebrate the victory of Christ over death this Easter season, may His light guide our path.
“Because He lives, we also shall live.”
Have a peaceful and grace-filled Easter.
Jeremiah Manele, MP
Prime Minister
