CSSI farewells Mechanic Apprentices after a successful attachment program
Two mechanic apprentices been farewelled over the weekend following the successful completion of a year attachment program with the Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) Transport and Garage Unit at the Correctional Services Headquarters in Rove.
Commissioner Mactus Forau acknowledged and thanked the apprentices for their commitment, dedication, and positive attitude throughout their attachment with CSSI.
“This program is an investment in the country future workforce, and the knowledge and experience you have gained here will serve you well in your careers. We encourage you to continue striving for excellence”, says Commissioner Forau.
“Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the positive attitude you displayed during your time with our Garage Team. On behalf of the Office of the Commissioner and the entire Correctional Service Solomon Islands, I wish you both every success as you move forward in your careers”.
Speaking on behalf of the Apprentices, Mr. Charles Rikea expressed his sincere appreciation to the CSSI leadership and staff for their unwavering support and guidance throughout the attachment.
“We sincerely thank the Commissioner, the Executive, Transport & Garage Staff and all CSSI officers for the guidance and support provided during our practical training. We will miss all of you very much, but we have truly benefited and learned a great deal from working alongside your highly skilled mechanics. The knowledge and experience we have gained here will remain valuable throughout our careers”, says Rikea.
The attachment program forms part of CSSI’s ongoing commitment to supporting skills development and technical capacity building through partnerships with national training initiatives. Such programs provide apprentices with valuable hands-on experience while strengthening CSSI’s engagement with the community in nurturing the next generation of skilled trades men and women.
CSSI remains committed to fostering practical learning opportunities that contribute to the development of a competent and skilled workforce, while promoting collaboration with educational and vocational training institutions across Solomon Islands.
