Honiara, Solomon Islands — Monday, 17 November 2025: The Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI) has formally farewelled the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) First Secretary, Justice, Governance and Stability Section, Ms. Sara Lailey, following the completion of her contract with the Australian High Commission in Honiara.
Speaking during the brief farewell ceremony, Supervising Commissioner Mr. Michael Nagu conveyed the organisation’s appreciation for Ms. Lailey’s service and partnership.
“On behalf of the Office of the Commissioner and the Executive, I would like to acknowledge and honour your contributions to the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands. We deeply value the support you have provided over the past two years through DFAT and the Australian Solomon Islands Partnership for Justice (ASIPJ),” Supervising Commissioner Nagu said.
“Your work has not only advanced CSSI’s strategic goals but has done so with a uniquely personal and thoughtful approach that has left a lasting impression on our institution and our team.”
In her farewell remarks, Ms. Sara Lailey reflected on her engagement with CSSI, noting her admiration for the organisation’s professionalism and commitment to serving the people of the Solomon Islands.
She stated that from the outset, she was impressed by how dedicated and community-minded CSSI staff were in fulfilling their important role within the justice sector over the past two years.
