
CSSI farewell Late Senior Sergeant Jennifer William
On 5 May 2025 in Honiara. Officers of the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI) bid farewell to late Senior Sergeant Jennifer William’s Kuligi at Naha Seventh Day Adventist Church, East of Honiara.
Correctional Service Senior Executive, Representative from the Ministry of Police National Security and Correctional Services, has paid their final tribute to honour her legacy and grieve her loss alongside her family, friends and colleagues.
Late Jennifer William was a committed and dedicated correctional officer with a kind-hearted soul.
On 30th April 2025, 2am is a dim day for the CSSI families as they lose one of their great women who selflessly served the Correctional Service and the Nation with distinction and passion.
Staff officer to the office of the commissioner Superintendent Thompson Pada said, we gather here today with heavy hearts to honor and remember a colleague, a friend, and a true public servant late Senior Sergeant Jennifer Williams Kuligi, who has given her service to the Correctional Services.
“Today, we mourn not only the loss of a dedicated officer but the absence of a friend. We grieve with her family, who shared her with us so selflessly, and we honor their pain as our own. Though her journey was marked by illness, she faced each day with unwavering courage and grace”.
CSSI is losing one of the senior females and well experienced officer who has served the organization and the government with integrity and honor.
“I salute her for her service… she was loyal to the Country as a faithful servant who fulfills her goal as one of the potential seniors and serving officer, who is and will dearly missed by the Ranks and Files of the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands”, says Pada.
Late William has enlisted in the Solomon Islands Prison Service and now then the Correctional Service Solomon Islands on 1st December 1989, she then served the Correctional Service Solomon Islands for nearly 36 years till her passing on.
“Late senior sergeant Jennifer, your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Your service stands as a testament to the quiet bravery that keeps our communities safe. Though you are no longer with us, your legacy of strength, compassion, and duty will continue to live on in every correctional officer who walks the halls in your memory”.
The body of late Senior Sergeant Jennifer William has finally laid to rest at Betikama Cemetery.
