Construction Works at Rifle Range Junction
This is to inform the public that the construction works for the cross culvert at the Rifle Range Junction at Tandai Highway will commence on 9 June 2026 and are expected to be completed within two (2) weeks, subject to weather conditions.
The scope of works includes excavation, installation of structural steel and formwork, concrete casting, and backfilling activities.
To facilitate the safe and efficient implementation of these works, the public is advised of the following temporary traffic arrangements:
- Road Closure and Vehicle Access
The road approaching Rifle Range Junction will be temporarily closed to allow construction works to proceed safely. A temporary one-way traffic detour road will be constructed to accommodate vehicular movement during the construction period.
Traffic Controllers will be stationed on site to manage traffic flow. Motorists travelling from Rifle Range towards Tandai Highway are advised to give way to oncoming traffic before entering the main road.
- Westbound Traffic
Due to the ongoing construction works at the Roundabout, the landside road section will remain closed to general traffic.
Westbound vehicles will continue to use the seaside lane by accessing the temporary ramp, before returning to the landside lane through the designated ramp beyond the roundabout.
- Safety Measures
For the safety of all road users, the work area will be fully barricaded and clearly marked with appropriate traffic signs, warning devices, and safety barriers prior to the commencement of works.
- Pedestrian Access
Designated pedestrian walkways and crossing points will be maintained throughout the construction period. Safety Officers and Traffic Controllers will be deployed at key locations to assist pedestrians and motorists, ensuring safe and orderly movement within the project area.
- Traffic Management Plan
The attached Traffic Management Plan (TMP) is provided for public reference. Additional traffic control measures and signage may be introduced as required, depending on site conditions. Construction schedules may also be adjusted due to weather conditions or operational requirements.
