Message:
As the year draws to a close and we enter the Christmas festive season, we reflect on what we have achieved for our country, our families, and ourselves in 2025.
MID has faced a challenging year at the start but has navigated through with notable achievements: passage of the National Building Standards Bill, increase of contributions to the National Transport Fund, rollout of the CAUSE II Project, satisfactory progress on the Land and Maritime Connectivity Project, progress on Solomon Islands Road and Aviation Project II, progress on China-Aid projects, revival of the Road Transport Board, and other infrastructure developments—all with the ultimate goal of improving our country’s socio-economic development.
As we enter the Christmas festive season, the Ministry sends you warm greetings and wishes you joyous celebrations. May the joyful bells of Christmas remind us of the birth of Christ, our Risen Lord and King of Kings, and also of our responsibilities to our families, our country, and ourselves. Christmas is a season of peace, joy, and fellowship with family and friends.
There is no better time than Christmas to express our gratitude to development partners, stakeholders, line ministries, contractors and individuals who have supported us throughout the year. We hope that the coming year, 2026, will bring new opportunities for us to work together and elevate this Ministry to new heights.
Finally, we invite you to remember and partake in our paramount responsibility: “SAFETY FIRST.” If you decide to travel by sea, or road during this festive season, please prioritize safety.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026!
