“It certainly will be your legacy in Solomon Islands. You are an incredibly important figure along with other great leaders of this nation,” underlined His Excellency Thomas.

The British envoy adds, throughout the history of Solomon Islands, Prime Minister Sogavare has been such an important figure, because of his experience and contribution towards the rule of democracy, national peace and stability.
“The UK stands ready to assist Solomon Islands in any way it can and more especially the good news is that Solomon Islands vaccine certificates have been approved in the UK,” said His Excellency Thomas Edward Coward.
H.E Tom said this while presenting his introductory documents to Prime Minister Hon. Manasseh Sogavare yesterday.
Mr Thomas Coward replaces outgoing British High Commissioner to Solomon Islands Dr Brian Jones whose appointment expired at the end of last year.
