ASIPJ handed over JIMS equipment’s to CSSI

Australia Solomon Islands Partnership for Justice (ASIPJ) handed over the Justice Information Management System (JIMS) equipment’s to Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) on 13^th February 2025 at the Correctional Headquarter, Rove.

The Australia Solomon Islands Partnership for Justice (ASIPJ) has the pleasure of supplying on behalf of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), four (04) desktop computers, (04) four monitors and four (04) UPS.

This JIMS-2 equipment’s will support the implementation of JIMS at Tetere Correctional Centre and CSSI Parole Board office.

CSSI Deputy Commissioner Operation Michael Nagu expressed his sincere appreciation for the generous support by ASIPJ for providing the JIMS equipment, and this would provide an opportunity for Tetere Correctional Centre (TCC) and Parole Board office to help streamline processes, improve case management, track prisoner information, and facilitate quicker access to legal records to improve their prisoner’s information data.

Deputy Commissioner Nagu says, thank you, and thank you Australia to remain as a key partner in the Justice sector and for recognizing the importance of Correctional Services in Solomon Islands.

The Justice Information Management System is a digital system used by Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) and the Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) to manage data, track cases, and coordinate information across different departments and essentially acting as a centralized platform for the justice system in the country.
