Maintain the spirit of partnership to build a strong community against crime, a strong statement presented by Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Malaita Province, Chief Superintendent Stanly Riolo during the launching of Ambu community by-law on 25 June 2021.
PPC Riolo during his speech presentation says today marks a new milestone in the history of Ambu community to launch your community by-law. As you clearly outlined in your theme ‘Iumi tugeda for peace and unity lo community blo iumi’ is the very core reason why your community decided to establish your community by-law.
Chief Superintendent Riolo says the importance of your by-law is for the good and betterment of your community when it comes to law and order. Law and order in the community is to prevent crime, which is the responsibility of everyone.
“I believe the only way forward for us to address anti-social behavior issues in our community is through partnership. Let us not work in isolation but let us work together to build a strong and consistent network to address issues in our community,” says PPC Riolo.
“I am very pleased to see the involvement of Chiefs, community elders, Church leaders and Youth groups’ in this Crime Prevention Committee. I would like to encourage everyone in the community to continue to maintain the spirit of partnership to build a strong community against crime.”
He says, “I will ensure to do my best to provide you with policing support. Let us continue to work together to support each other to prevent and address crime related issues in our communities for a better community for our future children.”
A good number of people came to witness the launching program and among them, the guest of honor is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Provincial Government and Institutional Strengthening Mr Stanley PIRIONE and other prominent people.
