Two Permanent Secretaries Reappointed
HONIARA, Solomon Islands – The Governor General, His Excellency Sir David Tiva Kapu, has sworn in Mr. Riley Mesepitu and Mrs. Karen Galokale as Permanent Secretaries, formalizing their reappointments.
Mr. Mesepitu has been reappointed as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration, a position he has held for the past eight years.
Mrs. Galokale has been reappointed as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services, a role she has also held for eight years.
During the swearing-in ceremony at Government House, the Governor General congratulated the duo and reminded them of their duties as senior public servants.
Both Permanent Secretaries expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them and pledged to serve the government to the best of their abilities.
