One Tribe Ministry Donates Essential Items to RCCC Inmates
One Tribe Ministry (OTM) has donated essential items to the Rove Central Correctional Centre (RCCC), presented to Commandant Mr. Cecil Nokia during a brief handover ceremony recently at the Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) Headquarters in Rove, Honiara.
The donation included two bags of clothing as well as reading and sunglasses for inmates.
Speaking during the handover, OTM Representative Mr. Alan Goode reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting the personal growth and well-being of inmates and staff at RCCC.
“There is a significant opportunity to build upon the foundations of CSSI’s Industries and Rehabilitation and Reintegration programs by reconceptualising how these prison-based enterprises operate from end to end”.
“Our mission is to equip prison inmates in the Pacific Islands to run effective small businesses both within and outside the prison environment, addressing the technical, social, commercial, and spiritual components,” Mr. Goode stated.
Commandant Mr. Cecil Nokia expressed his appreciation to One Tribe Ministry Founder Mr. Pete McCutchen and Mr. Alan Goode for their generous support in providing essential personal items for inmates at RCCC.
