Commissioner Forau Commends CSSI Officers for Independence Parade Participation
Honiara, 09 July 2025 — The Commissioner of the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI), Mr. Mactus Forau, has commended his officers for their participation in the 47th Independence Anniversary celebrations held at the National Stadium in Honiara on 7 July 2025.
Speaking during the Commissioner’s Parade this morning, Commissioner Forau praised and acknowledged both the male and female CSSI parade platoons for their disciplined and professional performance displayed during the national event.
“I am proud of our officers for their outstanding display of discipline and pride in uniform. Your presence during the national parade reflected the core values of our service,” Commissioner Forau said.
The CSSI parade platoons added colour to the event, marching in their distinctive safari dress uniforms in white and green, symbolising unity, peace, and national pride.
“Happy 47th Independence Anniversary, Solomon Islands,” Commissioner Forau added, joining the nation in celebration.
