Message: We would like to offer our utmost sincere condolences to Lady Vunagi, children, grandchildren and family on the passing of the former Governor General of Solomon Islands, the late Sir David Okete Vuvuiri Vunagi GCGM, KStJ.

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the late Sir Vunagi’s GCMC, KStJ passing at his home on Central Guadalcanal after a long illness. His passing is indeed a great loss, not only for his immediate family and relatives, but to the entire nation. His service to the Solomon Islands as Governor General from 2019 to 2024 is a legacy that will be deeply etched in the young history of our beloved Solomon Islands as one of our nation’s true statesman and patriot.

We pray that Mrs Vunagi, children, family, relatives and the nation find solace and comfort through our prayers during this difficult time and may his soul rest in peace with our almighty father.
